Nikko Asset Management has appointed Ella-Kara Brown as portfolio manager within its global equity team based in Edinburgh.

The team has achieved considerable success in building the franchise with a focus on future quality investing, its assets under management having grown from US$250 million in 2014 to over US$4 billion today.

With over 19 years of experience in investment management, Brown was previously a portfolio manager at abrdn managing a range of global equity strategies.

Nikko AM says its global equity strategy has delivered strong outperformance since inception in 2014, with an annualized gross return of 10.21% compared to the MSCI ACWI's net total return of 7.18%.
